Jerome's yummy chocolate banana cake

During the weekend, my sister and I were wondering what we could do.  My mother said that we could bake her famous banana choc cake as we had some ripe bananas lying around. First we measured the flour and cocoa powders. Second we mashed the bananas with a fork and smashing them was fun! Third we added very little oil in with the mix. Fourth we put butter in the oven and melted it. Fifth My mum carefully cracked open an egg. Sixth we put black liquid vanilla. Seventh we put sugar into the mixture. Eighth we mixed it together and we put choc chips on top. It looked like ooey gooey deliciousness and when we put it in the oven and got it out it tasted even better.

Jerome's Muffin Project

On this week's google meet our teacher gave us a project about making muffins. My Mum got chocolate cake powder when she heard about my muffin project. First, we poured the cake powder into the bowl it smelled nice. Second, we cracked open eggs and put the yolk and white in the bowl. Third, we added vegetable oil and water. I was able to use my math skills to measure the quantity of oil and water. Fourth, my Mum whisked the mixture and let me use the electric whisker. Then my sister wanted to put toppings and I didn't so we each split 6 and 6. My sister used Oreos as her topping. Fifth, we put them in the oven so they could cook and puff up. After this, my sister and I went to watch some TV. Then my Mum said that the muffins were done so when we finished our lunch we could have 1.

Olympic work TWA

Through these weeks we've been doing Olympic work. We've been doing Olympic work through reading and maths. In reading there was a task board that we did work from. There were 3 questions to choose from and I chose 'How are the Ancient, Modern and Present Olympics different?' I went on Kiwi Kids News to get some information. In the research I learned that married woman would get thrown of cliff for even watching in the Ancient times! In maths we did an Olympic slideshow witch had questions to solve. We would solve one question each day as a group and then do it separately. We had to solve it in our own way so we wouldn't get confused. Over all I thought both the activities were great.
